The Solon Comet Wrestling Program has a proud tradition featuring 21 OHSAA State Champions, including three (3) athletes who each won three Championships (Kevin Hardy, Brandon Thompson and Anthony Collica), 13 State Runners-Up, 42 other individual place winners and 54 State Qualifiers.  Additionally, the 1990 Solon High School Wrestling Team captured the OHSAA Division II State Title, becoming Solon High School's first team to win a State Championship in any sport.

Seven Comet wrestlers have earned High School All-American Status by placing at the NHSCA National Tournament.  Additionally, Solon Alumni have earned 13 collegiate All-American placements at the NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III,  NAIA and NJCAA National Tournaments. 

​

Each season, the members of the Solon High School Wrestling Team are on a Vision Quest to have their name placed along side Solon's State Champions, Runners-Up, Placers and Qualifiers on the team's annual T-shirt.
